Professional Scrum Product Owner I
Being a professional Product Owner encompasses more than writing requirements or managing a Product Backlog. Product Owners need to have a concrete understanding of all product management aspects, including but not limited to product ownership, that drives value from their products.
The 2-day Professional Scrum Product Owner course focuses on all of these areas to teach students how to maximize the value of software products and systems. PSPO is the cutting-edge course for Product Owners, Agile product managers and anyone responsible for a software product’s success in the market. In this course, students will develop and solidify their knowledge of being a Product Owner through instruction and team-based exercises. The breadth of the role’s responsibilities in delivering a successful product will become more clear from an Agile perspective. Metrics are identified to track the creation of value and the successful delivery of the product to the marketplace.
After completing this training, you will have the opportunity to take the globally recognized official Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) exam. Upon passing the PSPO I certification exam, you will be formally qualified to work as a Professional Scrum Product Owner.
Please note: the program for our virtual courses may vary. The hours are approximately 6 hours per day and may be extended with an extra course day.
This two-day training provides participants with a thorough grounding in Scrum and is comprised of three main elements. Each day starts at 9am and ends at 5pm, including breaks and lunch.

The interaction and knowledge of Renata are outstanding. that was certainly a plus during the training. Training materials not sufficient to prepare for the exam. unfortunately. Therefore had to revert to all kinds of online sources and materials.
- Leon van den Beemt - Rating: 9/10
I think the course was of a high level in general. The content we received was quite complete, I think we handled a lot of information in the three days and my knowledge on the PO role as well as on working agile in general has greatly increased. In addition, there was lots of time and opportunity to ask in depth questions which was useful for the learning progress. The practically oriented parts were pretty nice to put the learnings into practice.
- Ernst-Jan Haakmat - Rating: 8/10
The trainer also shared experience which was an addition on the theory.
- Loukas Kokkinakis - Rating: 9/10
Interactive environment and open discussion encouragement! Overall, really nice exercises as well. Would be good if in the schedule (since it's quite long already anyway), you make sure to include explanation of more terms that are frequently used in exam questions, such as "development organization" for example.

I liked the difference in theory, excercises and short movies. Course can be shortened from 3 to 2 days without loosing information or exercises.
- Twan Markus - Rating: 8/10
walking through the theory is very short when at the end you are provided with many links for more learning materials. the exam preparations are usefull with the tips and tricks received.

The structure of the training was sometimes a bit all over the place. For example on the third day we had some practical exercises, but we did them in another order than you would usually do it in practice. That confused me quite a bit. I liked the practical days the most since the theory we could read in the scrum guide and practical knowledge is what I was looking for. Renate on her first day was a bit out of it I think, the rest went better. But everything went quite okay online.

Er waren veel praktijk oefoeningen in subgroeps. dat vind ik wel goed idee.
- Rien Mustert - Rating: 7/10
enthusiastic and capable trainer. sometimes to much discussion/ time spent on non-scrum related items (but other methodologies). big gap between course/ content and the way an exam is constructed (too theoretical)
- Marieke Morrenhof - Rating: 7/10
Very theoritical focus. First day was only about the Agile terminology and not really about a deepdive in the role of the Product Owner. I think this could be a bit better. I think it would be better if you make it mandatory that everybody know the agile way of work and principles (do a quick refresh) and really focus on the role of the Product owner. This was the reason I was there. The second day was good. It could be a bit more practical with real situations though. The list of invitees was not good though but this is the fault of VZ, everybody had a different reason and interest of why being there.
- Bas de Graaff - Rating: 7/10
I liked the ability to change content due to input of audience. I didnt like that trainer wasnt informed about group dynamics (some were new to team)
- Sai Kumar Sitagari - Rating: 6/10
more of the outside in perspective would be helpful
