Dennis started his career as an entrepreneur - he was a yacht skipper and sail trainer with his own sailing school and started his own innovation company, working as a front-end developer and then a project- and product manager.
In 2014 he started to specialize in self-organizing teams and empirical process management. He is certified as an agile consultant (PSM III, ICA-ENT), change agent (Deep Democracy and Corporate Anthropology) and is an experienced (technical) program manager (SAFe SPC, PSPO) and Human-Centered Designer.
He has been engaged by AholdDelhaize, AFM, Achmea, Booking.com, T-Mobile, D-Reizen, Impala Studios and as co-founder of i and i Future. He led AI/ML initiatives at Booking.com and is the product manager of Fonetic, an AI that does transcription and translation in public spaces and public transport. He led teams in a Scrum Studio, in several communities of practice and was the trainer, coach and mentor of agilists at companies including ING, Sundio, Maxeda, Stichting Pensioenfonds Huisartsen, Insinger Gilissen, Amgen, Arcadis and VodafoneZiggo.
His strength is to grow team performance, using empiricism to master the product. He uses his technical experience, insight into people and knowledge of Lean, Agile and Design Thinking to learn the path to success. His experience as a leader in a variety of situations, from digital development teams, to developing AI, to teams of managers and trainers - helps him to be successful with his teams.
