The Obeya Builder Training is designed to equip participants with advanced skills for creating and maintaining effective Obeya rooms, emphasizing the strategic deployment of visual management tools and collaborative practices. Participants will learn to enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement through sophisticated Obeya methodologies. This training includes an Obeya Builder Accreditation from the Obeya Association.

Program

The two-day Obeya Builder course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced Obeya techniques and their practical applications. Participants will delve into the following outline:

1. The Obeya Builder

2. The Obeya Building Process

3. Strategy (Plan)

4. Planning/Portfolio (Do)

5. Performance (Check)

6. Continuous Improvement (Act)

7. Recap & Closure

Objectives

Upon completion of the course and successful passing of the consecutive examination, the participant will be able to reproduce and identify:

  • Participant is able to formulate the Obeya purpose, and link this to Obeya information strategies
  • Participant can define relevant goals and objectives and connect them to purpose in order to facilitate decision-making
  • Participant can adequately describe the purpose, set-up and application of the PDCA cycle
  • Participant can translate high-level, abstract strategies into execution goals
  • Participant can explain strategic imaging: OKR, Hoshin Kanri, Balanced Scorecard, value streams
  • Participant can explain operational imaging: Kanban, PI planning, Agile portfolio management, Customer Journey, Product roadmaps

Certification

Obeya Builder Exam & Certificate

  • To earn the official Obeya Builder Certificate, participants must complete the Obeya Builder exam.
  • The exam can be scheduled at the participant's convenience following the training course.
  • Participants will also receive a one-year free membership to the Obeya Association Community (Worth €75).
  • Completing the Obeya Builder exam prepares individuals for more advanced certifications, such as the Obeya Host Training.

Audience

The Obeya Builder Training is tailored for professionals who are already familiar with the basics of Obeya and are looking to deepen their expertise. It is ideal for those responsible for implementing and managing Obeya rooms within their organizations. Agile leaders, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and Managers will particularly benefit from this training.

Prerequisites

To enroll in the Obeya Builder Training, participants must hold an official Obeya Fundamentals Certification, obtained by successfully completing the Obeya Fundamentals exam. Additionally, familiarity with visual management techniques and team facilitation is beneficial.
