Your impact

In this varied role you act as a finance business partner and proactively co-create and collaborate with management and other teams on finance & business topics.

You will demonstrate the right behavior by seeking and offering collaboration and creating a culture of ownership and (cost) awareness. As a business partner, you are pro-actively working and improving the performance with (senior) leaders.

Your role will be predominantly focused on Gladwell Academy (innovative, practice-oriented training and coaching) and to a lesser degree on Blinklane Consulting (organizational transformation consulting), as well as group-level tasks. As such, you will report to both, Gladwell’s senior leadership team, and Highberg’s senior finance leadership.

Your tasks include the following activities:

  • Close interaction and proactive, business-minded contribution to senior leadership teams;
  • Support and foster achievement of short- and long-term business goals;
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly, yearly and long-term reports with results, forecasts and budget;
  • Advising teams and support and participate in commercial, operational, and financial decision making through data-driven insights. This includes pipeline, revenue, and margin analyses at initiatives-, product-, region- and customer-level;
  • Developing, maintaining and improving meaningful KPI dashboards;
  • Proactively identify business and financial opportunities & risks;
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all finance-related questions from the businesses, including ad-hoc analyses as well as providing a strong foundation for dynamic reporting.

Who you are

  • You have a strong sense for business drivers and data-driven organizations, you are analytically strong, self-driven and results-oriented, with a “can-do” attitude;
  • You have at least 5 years’ relevant experience, and a master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field;
  • You have a collaborative approach and feel comfortable in a changing environment, where you can also be the driver of change;
  • You feel comfortable to switch between day-to-day operations and longer-term strategy;
  • You have excellent communication and reporting skills in English (verbal and written), you are enterprising and social;
  • Legal and HR/payroll knowledge and experience is an advantage;
  • Preferably living in or around Amsterdam, partial remote setup may be considered.
